steps to reproduce:

  • build some Ripple Rockets emplacements and/or Archangel Missile emplacements
  • take unit with WSS turret and target it to any enemy structure or unit within weapon's fire range - it will start moving to it's target but all indirect weapons will fire immediately
  • move unit back to save it from enemy fire and repeat prev.step as many times as you wish

Still in effect in the 2.3 beta 5.
You can build a unit with WSS turret, trap it in walls so it can't move, and selec anything in the map, if it's in the range of any weapon, it will be destroyed, and your WSS unit did not even leave the base...

I attached a screenshot which I use for team training. I recommend to increase the priority to critical. Every long game is just about using this exploit on each other. It's like a laser satellite command post with a 50x higher ROF.

I also don't like the change that sensor units can command artillery emplacements. Commanders sucked enough as they were before, but with this they get competition even for their only useful ability.

I already fixed this. Then someone un-fixed it because it caused WSS's CB functionality to go all wonky.

This is a fundamental flaw of Warzone's sensor system - there's no easy fix.

We could remove CB functionality from the WSS.

Right, have the Wide Spectrum Sensor an enemy in target, all indirect weapons fire on it, buildings and units.
