under ~/.warzone2100.../ vim config

set width= and height= to match your desktop size

I can get it to hang if its set to 640 x 480

is your sound ok in other apps and games? it sounds like your sound level is set too high

I somehow think this is a PulseAudio issue, or perhaps sound drivers.

At the end is where we clean up openAL, so something could be conflicting there.

In any case, since I can't replicate this, I can't really do anything about it, and I don't have a clue how to diagnose this...

All I know, is it works on debian, and windows. :)

You can try --nosound and see if it closes the game for you ok, if so, then yeah, it is a sound issue. (you need to do --sound to re-enable sound)

Closing ticket as external, unless you can point to someplace in the code where we are doing something wrong?
If so, please respond back to the ticket, and I will open this back up.

Hi,

I have the same problem. I am running on ubuntu 9.10 on my laptop using intel´s HDA chipset.
This is what I got when running warzone from a terminal with sound enabled.

bt_audio_service_open: connect() failed: Connexion refusée (111)
bt_audio_service_open: connect() failed: Connexion refusée (111)
bt_audio_service_open: connect() failed: Connexion refusée (111)
bt_audio_service_open: connect() failed: Connexion refusée (111)
AL lib: alSource.c:2362: alcDestroyContext(): deleting 1 Source(s)

connexion refusée means connexion denied.

With the option --nosound, warzone runs fine.

hope this will help.
