type_patch (an actual patch, not a request for one)
| by PerThis experimental patch changes how turn speed is calculated. First, it allows tracked vehicles and cyborgs to spin around on the spot. Second, it makes droids slow down when making sharp angles, and gain extra manoeuvrability from doing this - allowing them to take sharper turns.
Testing shows that more work is needed in other areas to make this look nice - spinning on the spot works poorly with how path walking is implemented at the moment. But I think the principle can be discussed before further work is done.
I also think we should move some of these constants into propulsion.txt
