Warzone 2.3.3 test run using Korean translation .mo file failed

Operating System: Microsoft Windows

Description

Following instructions I found in this forum(see bottom of message), I tried running Warzone with the local system language set to Korean (and the game language set to "system locale").

I created the directories necessary. (namely, locale\ko\LC_MESSAGES) I also changed the name of my .mo file to warzone2100.mo, which went inside the LC_MESSAGES folder.

The result is that weird html-like gibberish(<> tags and numbers) appears instead of the Korean letters.

Why is this happening?

I use Windows XP with Nvidia fx 5900xt video card. I don't have any other operating system available, so I don't know whether this happens on other platforms.

I have attached a screenshot.

Uploading using .bmp does not work. Uploaded as .jpg file.

Is this a real problem, or is it just me not knowing how to use the .mo file properly?

Probably it doesn't find a font with the needed characters, the installer has an option to include the Windows font folder (but that could make startup slow), or you can put some Korean font into "etc\fonts" (?) where Warzone is installed.

And I forgot to make the Windows installer actually install the translation, sorry, I'll fix that now for 2.3.4.
