When starting warzone2100 I can see the initial loading screen and some loading seems to happen (the bottom bar moves). However, after 5-10 seconds it crashes, saying:
$ warzone2100
No function contains program counter for selected frame.
Saved dump file to '/tmp/warzone2100.gdmp-V6B6xs'
If you create a bugreport regarding this crash, please include this file.
zsh: segmentation fault warzone2100
See attachment for the dump file.
A couple of months ago I had no trouble with warzone2100. But I've also updated warzone2100, xorg and my kernel since then, and I'm using the OpenSource Nvidia nouveau driver now instead of the proprietory one.
Cheers, T_X
PS: I've selected GNU/Linux 32bit as the "Operating System" below, as userspace applications are all 32bit (i386). However the kernel itself is 64bit (amd64).

The crashdump looks like it might be graphics driver related. The binary is stripped though, so it is mostly worthless. If you still see this, please uplaod a crashdump from an unstripped binary.
Indeed, a got a hint from a friend, I had to install the package 'libgl1-mesa-dri-experimental' in Debian unstable and remove all remaining packages related to the proprietary nvidia driver. Now warzone2100 works like a charm with the cool new open-source nvidia driver 'nouveau'.
Thanks!
