While working on a new mod on 3.1 beta 7, I noticed that, when an especially slow unit gets close to its destination (like one or 2 tiles away from it), it speeds up considerably. I then tried to take advantage of that by repeatedly giving the slow units orders to move a little bit until they reached the destination that I ultimately wanted them to go, and it succeeded.
Steps to reproduce:
1: Design a vehicle that is very slow (such as a Viper Heavy Cannon Tracks).
2: Give it a move order to any location. As the vehicle gets close to it, notice how it speeds up?
3: Try giving it multiple move orders that are only 1 or 2 tiles distant from the vehicle.
