Just tried the fastplay and I can't reproduce that issue with Warzone 2100, 3.1 beta 11 or git-master Warzone2100/warzone2100@ed671bb from the git repository.
Judging from the line numbers mentioned in the log message, you're not using any 3.1 beta version, but a version from the master branch. Would you mind telling us the exact version you're using? Also, as you seem to be using the git repository, make sure that you have a clean, recent checkout (e.g. nothing showing up in 'git status' before compiling).
