Shadow Wolf TJC commented My guess is that this is an issue with hitboxes. While fortresses being unable to shoot over hardpoints may be intended, the towers might have a thinner hitbox than hardpoints, and the Tank Traps' hitbox might just be too tall. The best solution that I can think of, if hitboxes are determined by the .pie files that are assigned to the structures in structures.txt, would be to add a new .txt file in the stats folder that is used by the game to override various structures' hitboxes with custom hitboxes, so that while a structure may look like it would block line-of-sight (at least when determining whether or not to shoot at the enemy), units would still be able to shoot through said structures. |

hardpoint just a bit higher than towers (screen 2)
bunkers cannot shoot through tank traps!
Why bug:
if hardpoints can shoot through towers then fortresses should be able to shoot through hardpoints.
