Colour fringing as EvilGuru described it in his excellent Treatise on Font Rasterisation is present in 3.2.3 font rendering (likely also 3.2.x). See the attached images comparing with the 3.1.2 main menu and the 3.2.3 main menu.

Relevant (?) system information: Ubuntu 16.04, Intel(R) HD Graphics 4000.
