This site is selling warzone2100 with modifications but does not offer source code and this breaks your GPL

Does the GPL require that source code of modified versions be posted to the public? (#GPLRequireSourcePostedPublic)

The GPL does not require you to release your modified version, or any part of it. You are free to make modifications and use them privately, without ever releasing them. This applies to organizations (including companies), too; an organization can make a modified version and use it internally without ever releasing it outside the organization.

But if you release the modified version to the public in some way, the GPL requires you to make the modified source code available to the program's users, under the GPL.

Thus, the GPL gives permission to release the modified program in certain ways, and not in other ways; but the decision of whether to release it is up to you.

its probable some kid. Don't know what his is doing. As I understand GPL dont give a permission to sell the game in any case. right ?.
He is misleading about links and version numbers and probably don't know what is directX is. DirectX was only in original 1.10

UPD. just re-read a GPL2 ..seems like anyone can do anything even sell the game as far as he add link to source code.

I believe they need to compile under a UWP wrapper to get it to the windows store, so, yes, that is considered source, and I don't see any package of the changes they made anyplace.

Also seems they stripped this site from the image, and replaced it with their site, yet, they still use our servers for the networking.

Not very cool, they sell it, yet use our resources, and I bet they didn't even donate to the project.
