Warzone's original graphics were state of the art in 1999 when it was commercially released. We intend to improve the quality of the originals keeping it's original style There's a Style Guide which may help you aligning with warzone's style. Also see the PIE model description. Models for master need Team Colour Masks.

Improving/Replacing the original graphics
Today we have some very advanced and free tools available to improve the graphical quality of the game.
At the moment Warzone2100 sometimes is a war zone also for Artists. There are several approaches to get new graphics ingame. Although there are some converters which work quite well they have to be compiled by yourself (which is not a difficult task by the way). An all-in-one solution (modding, stats-editing, interface) is planned but it's a long way until it's finished.
- Elio, who was recreating some of the base structures has written some sort of tutorial how he does it (under Linux but works well on other platforms too). Creating3DContent
- Art Revolution group is recreating some of the models. If you think you can help them, please join them at http://sourceforge.net/projects/artrev2100/

If you're stuck somewhere, we're happy to help you on IRC or in the forums. See our Contact page.
The Artwork Repository
There's a repository called 'originals' for storing new artwork for later use.
