Warzone 2100 is licensed under the ​GNU General Public License (GPL) and is as such free libre open source software. While the GPL grants licensees certain rights it also comes with some obligations.

General

• You are allowed to give Warzone 2100 to whoever you like.
• You have to include a copy of the source-code alongside the binaries.
• We cannot and therefore will not release Warzone 2100 under any other license.
• You do not have to ask for our permission to distribute Warzone 2100.
• There is no legal requirement to inform us about any publications, but we would appreciate it.
• You may charge a fee for distribution or do it for free. The source-code has to be included in that fee.
• There is no need for you to provide information on how to use the source-code or how to compile it.

Distribution on CD/DVD

• Include a copy of the source-code in the directory of the binaries.

Online distribution

• Add a link to the source-code.
